BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 9. In September 2024, Azerbaijan welcomed 38,661 tourists from Türkiye, marking a 7 percent increase compared to the same period in 2023.
Data obtained by Trend from the State Tourism Agency of Azerbaijan shows that 36,141 tourists from Türkiye visited Azerbaijan in the same period last year.
From January through September of this year, Azerbaijan welcomed 321,171 tourists from Türkiye, marking a 17 percent increase compared to the same period in 2023 (274,091 people).
A total of 1,983,361 foreigners visited Azerbaijan in the reporting period of the current year, which is a 30 percent increase compared to the same period in 2023 (1,536,375 people).
In 2023, 2,086,548 foreign citizens visited Azerbaijan, marking a 30.2 percent increase over 2022 (1,602,600), including 378,204 visitors from Türkiye, which represents a 21.27 percent increase over 2022 (311,880).
A total of 1,957,285 tourists visited Azerbaijan from Türkiye during the period of 2017-2023 (2017 - 301,553, 2018 - 291,259, 2019 - 316,404, 2020 - 160,513, 2021 - 197,472, 2022 - 311,880 tourists, and 2023 - 378,204 tourists).
