DUSHANBE, Tajikistan, July 26. A new 110/10 kV "Dusti" electrical substation has been launched in the Rudaki district of western Tajikistan, Trend reports.
According to the country's Ministry of Energy, this substation will provide reliable electricity to residents of rural areas of the district, including the villages of Kuktosh, Stakhanov, Chorsu, and 8 March, as well as to industrial enterprises in the Rudaki district.
Additionally, this will help alleviate the load on the 220/110/10 kV "Daryokanor" and 35/10 kV "Madad" substations.
Tajikistan generated 10.367 billion kWh of electricity in the first half of 2024, which is a decline of 393.4 million kWh compared to the same period last year. The major share of electricity was produced by Barqi Tojik, a state-owned national energy company, at 7.950 billion kWh.
Technological losses at Barqi Tojik’s hydroelectric power stations amounted to 35.3 million kWh, or 0.44 percent of the produced electricity, which is 3.5 million kWh, or 9 percent, less than in the same period last year.
