Georgia's reexports of cars to Tajikistan decrease

DUSHANBE, Tajikistan, December 1. Georgia reexported 1,235 cars to Tajikistan from January through October 2024, which is 45.5 percent less than the 2,267 cars in the first quarter of 2023, Trend reports.

According to the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat), the value of the reexport amounted to $19.858 million, declining by 22 percent compared to the figures for January through October 2023 ($25.443 million).

Meanwhile, trade turnover between Georgia and Tajikistan amounted to $27.895 million from January through October 2024, which is a decrease of 13.7 percent compared to the same period in 2023 ($32.126 million).

Georgia's exports to Tajikistan totaled $27.559 million during the reported months, which is a 13.4 percent decline from $31.857 million recorded in January–October 2023.

Specifically, Georgian reexports to Tajikistan amounted to $23.381 million in the reporting period, declining by 15 percent compared to January-October 2023 ($27.553 million).

Georgia imported products from Tajikistan in the following months: January, February, March, May, and October. The total import value amounted to $336,110, which is 25 percent higher than at the end of October 2023 ($268,630).
