TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, May 23. Uzbekistan’s trade turnover volume with Russia amounted to $3.8 billion from January through April 2024, Trend reports.
As per data from Uzbekistan’s Statistics Agency, this figure has increased by 31 percent compared to the same period last year ($2.9 billion in January-April 2023).
Russia is Uzbekistan's second-largest foreign trade partner. The
country accounts for 18.4 percent of Uzbekistan's trade
turnover.
From January through April 2024, exports to Russia totaled $1
billion, up 26.7 percent from $788.8 million year-on-year
(January–April 2023).
Uzbekistan’s imports from Russia reached $2.8 billion during this period. This indicator shows 33.3 percent growth year-on-year ($2.1 billion in January–April 2023).
Meanwhile, Uzbekistan's foreign trade turnover volume amounted to $20.9 billion from January through April 2024. This is 6 percent more year-on-year ($19.7 billion in January–April 2023).
The largest trade turnover volume was recorded with China ($3.9 billion) during this period. Russia ranks second with a total trade turnover volume of $3.8 billion, followed by Kazakhstan ($1.2 billion).
