Non-oil exports of Iran's Mazandaran province increase

BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 5. The export of non-oil products from Mazandaran province, located in northern Iran, increased by 14 percent in value and 25 percent in weight during the six months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through September 21, 2024) compared to the same period last year, controller of customs in Iran's Mazandaran Province Amir Jamshidi said, Trend reports

According to him, a total of 961,000 tons of non-oil products worth $173 million were exported from Mazandaran province during six months.

Jamshidi added that $62 million worth of milk and dairy products, $23 million worth of cement, $19 million worth of rubber materials, $18 million worth of metal products, and $5 million worth of minerals were exported from the province.

The official noted that non-oil products worth $71.2 million were exported from Mazandaran to Iraq, $46.8 million to Russia, $13 million to Turkmenistan, $8.83 million to Kazakhstan, and $5.67 million to Pakistan. These countries accounted for 84 percent of non-oil exports from the province in value terms.

To note, Iran exported 70 million tons of non-oil products worth $25.8 billion in the first six months of the year. Compared to the same period last year, the export of products increased by 6.5 percent in value and 3.5 percent in weight.
