BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 2. The export of products through the customs of Bushehr Province, located in southern Iran, increased by 9 percent in value and 7 percent in weight during eight months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through November 20, 2024) compared to the same period of last year (from March 21 through November 21, 2023), Customs Controller of Iran's Bushehr Province Ali Soleimani told reporters, Trend reports.
According to him, about 22.1 million tons of products worth $8.18 billion were exported via the Bushehr Province Customs during the eight months.
Soleimani added that exports of non-oil products amounted to 22 million tons worth $8.16 billion, excluding gas condensate, through Bushehr Province customs during eight months. Compared to the same period last year, non-oil exports increased by 11 percent in value and 8 percent in weight.
The official pointed out that the province primarily exports a mixed bag of petrochemical products, cement, fish and fishery products, gas condensate, construction materials, and vegetables.
He added that the products were mainly exported from provincial customs to China, the UAE, India, Iraq, Brazil, Pakistan, Türkiye, Oman, Qatar, and Taiwan.
To note, Iran's non-oil product exports amounted to about 104 million tons worth about $38.2 billion during eight months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through November 2024). Iran's exports of non-oil products increased by 18 percent in value and 14.6 percent in weight compared to the same period of last year (from March 21 through November 21, 2023).
