BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 8. The tax revenues in Mazandaran province in northern Iran increased by 65.7 percent during eight months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through November 2024) compared to the same period of last year (from March 21 through November 21, 2023), Director General of Economy and Finance Department of Iran's Mazandaran Province Esmail Hashemi told reporters, Trend reports.
According to him, tax revenues in Mazandaran province amounted
to 88.6 trillion rials (about $184 million) during eight
months.
Hashemi noted that direct and indirect tax revenues amounted to
about 80 trillion rials (about $164 million). In addition, other
tax revenues in the province amounted to 9.52 trillion rials (about
$19.7 million).
To note, Iran's Mazandaran province has two districts, 39 industrial parks, and 2,300 manufacturing enterprises. About 80,000 people are employed in the production and industrial sectors of the province. Of the manufacturing enterprises, 461-equipment and metals, 139-electricity and electronics, 115-textiles, 408-chemical products, 216-cellulose, 530-non-metallic mines, and 367- are industrial enterprises.
