BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 12. Iran's imports of products from Türkiye increased by 20.7 percent in value and 28.8 percent in weight in the first 11 months of the current Iranian year (from March 21, 2023, through February 19, 2024), the statistics of Iran's Customs Administration says, Trend reports.
Iran imported 4.29 million tons of products worth about $6.77 billion from Türkiye in the first 11 months.
During the first 11 months of last year, Iran's imports of products from Türkiye totaled 3.32 million tons worth about $5.6 billion.
The information adds that Iran imported mainly various equipment, food products, raw materials, fabrics and so on from Türkiye.
According to the statistics, Iran imported about 716,000 tons of products worth about $725 million from Türkiye in 11 months (January 21-February 19, 2024).
To note, according to the statistics of Iran's customs administration, Iran imported about 35.8 million tons of products worth about $59.9 billion in 11 months. Imports of Iranian products increased by 11.1 percent in value terms and by 6.4 percent in weight compared to the same period last year.
