Anti-government protestors have announced series of protests to be held across the country on Friday, marking it as the day to break the siege, Xinhua reported.

The protests called by the online February 14 Youth Movement will be held simultaneously in different villages and key Shiite districts in an attempt to break the siege of the GCC (Gulf Cooperation Council) troops.

A copy of map released by protestors obtained by Xinhua shows planned protests in Sitra, Karzakan, Dar Kulaib, near the Bahrain International Airport, Pearl Roundabout, Sanabis and other villages.

Protestors have also called for breaking free the state-run Salmaniya Medical Complex (SMC) from GCC troops.

Information Affairs Authority spokesperson Maysoon Sabkar said in a media briefing on Wednesday that 18 patients continue to be treated at the SMC with five patients in critical conditions. They were all injured during clashes between protestors and security forces in the past few weeks.
