Thailand's Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva left Bangkok early Friday morning for a three-day official visit to the United Kingdom during March 13-15 at an invitation of the British government, Xinhua reported.

The trip from March 13 to 15 is aimed to strengthen bilateral relations between the two countries, according to acting government's spokesman Panithan Wattanayakorn.

Abhisit will meet with UK Foreign Secretary David Miliband and be given an audience with Prince Andrew, Duke of York.
Also, Abhisit's visit to London is for preparation ahead of the G-20 Summit on Financial and Market and the World Economy, scheduled on April 2 in London, since the Thai Premier as the chairman of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations is invited to attend the G-20 Summit.

Meanwhile, the Oxford-graduated Thai Premier will speak at Oxford University on Saturday to express his ideas for developing democracy and reforming the Thai politics.
