5.0-magnitude quake hits Xinjiang

An earthquake measuring 5.0 on the Richter scale rocked Atux City at 5:26 p.m. Wednesday in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, according to the regional seismological network, Xinhua reported.
The epicenter was at 40.1 degrees north latitude and 77.4 degrees east longitude. No casualties have been reported, local authorities said.
