Samuel Eto'o and Marco Borriello were on target in a 1-1 draw between Inter Milan and guests Roma that Wednesday qualified the Nerazzurri for the Italian Cup final on a 2-1 aggregate, dpa reported.

The Cameroon star on 58 minutes scored an opener for Inter, which Borriello levelled as Roma produced a desperate final pressing.

Inter are to defend the cup against Palermo in a final set for May 29 in Rome.

Tactics prevailed in a fairly dull first half, with few scoring chances for both sides as Roma tried to overcome a 1-0 defeat from the home leg with captain Daniele De Rossi missing his two efforts from the distance.

Roma seemed to suffer from the absence of the suspended Francesco Totti and in the first half offered few chances to their single forward Borriello.

Giampaolo Pazzini on 66 minutes had a firm drive saved by Roma's Alexander Doni before being being replaced by Diego Milito, who fired onto the Brazilian custodian on his first occasion.

Roma brought on Mirko Vucinic upfront and created two chances when Borriello had a first effort saved by Julio Cesar and saw a further drive ricochet from one post to the other.

The striker nodded home to equalize six minutes from time with a header off a cross from Simone Perrotta.

Palermo qualified Tuesday by beating guests AC Milan 2-1 with goals from Giulio Migliaccio and Cesare Bovo for a 4-3 aggregate score.

The fresh Serie A champions pressed through most of the game as they needed a goal after a 2-2 draw in the home leg, but were stunned by two second-half goals followed by the dismissals of their midfielder Mark van Bommel and Bovo.
