SOCAR Turkey Enerji company plans to make oil research program in the east of the country more detalized before late 2016, CEO of the company Zaur Gahramanov told reporters.
He said that evaluation and preparatory work is currently underway.
"We need to evaluate how this process will take place," Gahramanov said. "This sector isn't so developed in Turkey as in Azerbaijan, so it's necessary to carry out the whole work - geodesy, geophysics, and so on," said Gahramanov.
He went on to add that the work program, which was prepared as part of the tender documents, needs to be detalized, and it will be done until late 2016.
Socar Turkiye Enerji A.S. received licenses in 2015 for five years to conduct exploration work for the research of oil deposits in the east of Turkey - in the cities of Gaziantep, Diyarbakir, Adiyaman, Kahramanmaras, Batman and Mus.
