Georgia, Tbilisi, 24 May / Trend corr N. Kirtskhalia/ Opposition needs the protest action planned to be held in Tbilisi on 26 May to complete formation, Georgian expert Gia Khukhashvili said.

The unified opposition of Georgia intends to hold the protest action against falsifications made during the parliamentary elections of 21 May. Opposition states that the governing party (Unified National Movement) gained its 59% through falsification.

Although opposition plans to rally along the Rustaveli Avenue on the Independence Day - 26 May, where Georgian troops will be located, Khukhashvili does not expect destabilization.

According to expert, he thinks so because of both sides' rather calm statements. "Moreover, such protest method is their constitutional right," he said.

Expert did not specify how much people will participate in the protest action, because public opinion in Georgia changes too fast. "It should be taken into account that the elections took place very recently. At any time an event may take place to radically change the situation," Khukhashvili said.
