The United States is Georgia's strategic partner, Georgian Foreign Minister Grigol Vashadze told Georgian journalists after the meeting with U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
The meeting took place in Washington on April 15 and lasted longed than the planned.
After the meeting, Clinton told journalists that she hails development of bilateral relations at the largest spectrum. "We are seeking ways to deepen our further relations. We supported territorial integrity and independence of Georgia," she said.
Vashadze stressed that the U.S. hails development of democratic processes in Georgia. "The United States has not changed its position which it held after the Russian aggression in August 2008. Georgia and U.S. are strategic allies," he said.
