Georgian ombudsman urged to provide an official reaction to the incident that took place a day before in Ingorokva St. where Georgian Interior Ministry is located on April 9.

Sozar Subari said fired were shot at demonstrators from the Interior Ministry. Demonstrator Tengiz Beridze received injury on his cheek-bone. The video record showed head of the Interior Ministry's Central Inspection Office Vasil Sanodze throwing cellophane package full of water to demonstrators. The video record also clearly shows the air-gun which fired at demonstrators.

Ombudsman said Vasil Sanodze is also one of the senior Interior Ministry officials who were involved in the scandalous murder of Sandro Girgvliani. Sanodze was dismissed later. However, he recovered his post in 2008.

Subari said the most surprising fact is that though 12 hours have passed since they were thrown water, no official reaction has been provided yet about senior official's move.

Ombudsman said it is not surprising any more as none of the facts on attack on supporters and activists and also on businessman Levan Lagizde have not been investigated yet. The video showing Lagidze being beaten was disseminated by Subari on April 18.

Ombudsman said unfortunately none of these facts is reflected by the Interior Ministry Web site.
