An event was held in the Azerbaijan's diplomatic mission in Bosnia and Herzegovina on the occasion of Day of Republic.
Representatives of the diplomatic corps and the public of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as Azerbaijanis studying and residing in this country were invited to the event, the diplomatic representation told Trend.
Adviser to the Azerbaijani diplomatic mission in Bosnia and Herzegovina Yusif Vezirov informed the event participants about Azerbaijan's history, of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic - the first democracy in the Muslim East in 1918 - 1920, respectively; Heydar Aliyev's invaluable merits to the people and the country after gaining independence, about the political course, founded by Heydar Aliyev and now usefully continued by the Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
Works of Azerbaijani composers were performed at the end of the event.
