Chairman of Caucasus Muslims Clerical Board Condemns Illegal Construction of Mosques in Baku

Azerbaijan, Baku, 5 Dec / Trend , corr. N.Abdullayeva / The Chairman of Caucasus Muslims Clerical Board condemns an illegal construction of mosques in Baku.

"If a mosque was constructed illegally, it must be pulled down," Haji Allahshukur Pashazade, chairman of Caucasus Muslims Clerical Board, said to Trend commenting the decision by the Yasamal District Administration to dismantle the mosque in 190, Murtuz Mukhtarov street.

The executive administration of Yasamal District considers the construction of the mosque illegal and grounded its decision on the Baku City Administration did not give permission for its construction.

"I always say that I am against the destruction of mosques, but if any mosque was built illegally it must be pulled down," Pashazade said.

The Chairman of Caucasus Muslims Clerical Board expressed bewilderment due to construction of a large mosque in the centre of capital, but none state official saw it before.
