Seven foreign families have been registered, who wish to adopt children from Azerbaijan, said in the Azerbaijani government's 2010 report, submitted to the parliament.
The report says that the foreign families' appeals to the State Committee for Family, Women and Children Affairs for adoption of children are under consideration.
Documents of three (Switzerland, USA and Russia) of six foreign families who have applied to the committee were accepted and sent to the courts for appropriate decision. The courts have taken appropriate decision.
Transfer of children of citizens of Azerbaijan to the adoption of foreign nationals or stateless persons subject to the consent of the State Committee of Azerbaijan for Family, Women and Children.
