Azerbaijan State Committee for Problems of Families, Women and Children, together with U.N. Population Fund, completed the first stage of the measures in the regions of Azerbaijan within the project Initiative of reproductive health of youth in South Caucasus, Trend reports quoting the State Committee.
In the first stage of the measures, meetings and discussions have been held amongst 400 people (under age of 15-20) to ensure the productive health and rights of the youths. Debates have been organized on reproductive problems of the youths, earlier marriages, violence against women, etc. During the meetings, proposals were made regarding serious measures to prevent earlier marriages, making amendments to the Family Code. A meeting will take place in Baku on January 18 due to the completion of the first stage.
