ASTANA, Kazakhstan, January 24. Kazakhstan will create 27 new manufacturing plants in the near future, said Kazakhstan’s Deputy Prime Minister Kanat Bozumbaev at a media briefing, Trend reports.
“We expect that 27 factories and plants will be created in Kazakhstan. We’ve worked with investors; these could be our existing local enterprises that are ready to expand. Also, foreign investors are showing interest from Europe, Germany, Türkiye, Russia, China, and others. Of course, all of them will need to meet standards and certifications according to our certification systems,” explained Kanat Bozumbaev.
Overall, according to the Deputy Prime Minister, the modernization of infrastructure will aim to maximize the use of domestic value.
“Since we are investing significant funds, we expect 100 percent utilization of existing enterprises, which will be ensured by off-take contracts,” clarified the Deputy Prime Minister.
The briefing predominantly centered on strategies to enhance the proportion of local products within Kazakhstan’s energy and utility sectors.
