BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 1. The volume of business loans provided to the agriculture sector by banks in Azerbaijan reached 1.79 billion manat ($1.05 billion) as of late 2024.
Data obtained by Trend from the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, this figure grew by 263.1 million manat ($154 million), or 17.3 percent, from the end of 2023 (1.52 billion manat, or $894 million).
Besides, as of the end of last year, the total business loan portfolio of banks in Azerbaijan amounted to 14.79 billion manat ($8.68 billion), increasing by 17.2 percent, or 2.17 billion manat ($1.27 billion), compared to the previous year (12.6 billion manat, or $7.39 billion).
