BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 20. Azerbaijan exported non-oil products worth $26.5 million to Georgia in January 2025.
The data obtained by Trend from the State Statistics Committee indicates that this reflects an increase of $1.4 million, or about 5.5 percent, compared to the same period in 2024, accounting for 10.77 percent of Azerbaijan's total exports during this period.
Moreover, the total trade volume between Azerbaijan and Georgia reached $73.1 million in February 2025, which is $2.4 million, or 3.4 percent, more than the same period in 2024.
Additionally, Azerbaijan exported products worth $64.6 million to Georgia during this period, which was a slight decrease of $761,000, or 1.2 percent, compared to January 2024.
However, Azerbaijan's imports from Georgia increased significantly, rising by $3.1 million, or 58.7 percent, reaching $8.5 million.
To note, in January of the current year, the volume of foreign trade turnover of Azerbaijan stood at $5.9 billion.
This indicator is $2.1 billion million (70.5 percent) more than the same period last year.
During the reporting period, the Foreign Trade Surplus totaled $986 million, up $285 million, or 40.7 percent, from a year earlier.
Of the total turnover, $3.4 billion came from exports and $2.5 billion from imports, reflecting a year-on-year increase of $1.2 billion (or 64.8 percent) for exports and $910 million (or 79.7 percent) for imports.
Foreign trade resulted in a positive balance of $986 million, marking a growth of $285 million, or 40.7 percent compared to the previous year.
