ASTANA, Kazakhstan, April 2. The Chairman of the Board of JSC "NC "QazaqGaz" Sanzhar Zharkeshov attended a meeting of the Management Committee on Occupational Safety, Health, and Environmental Issues (HSE), Trend reports.
The meeting discussed the company’s achievements in occupational safety and industrial safety for 2024, and key directions for 2025.
In the course of the meeting Zharkeshov highlighted the
company's significant accomplishments, including a substantial
reduction in the injury rate by 33 percent in 2024 and reaching a
historic milestone - the first year without any workplace
accidents.
"2024 was an important stage for the company, and we are proud to
have achieved zero injuries. As part of the Year of Skilled Trades,
we decided to further reward workers of production branches for
their contribution to creating safe working conditions," emphasized
Sanzhar Zharkeshov.
Special attention during the meeting was given to plans for 2025.
Sanzhar Zharkeshov reported that next year, the company would
implement large-scale geological exploration projects throughout
Kazakhstan. In connection with this, managers of subsidiaries and
branches were instructed to strengthen control over compliance with
labor safety regulations to ensure safety with the increase in the
volume of work.
The report on the work done in 2024 and the first three months of
2025 was presented by the HSE Department Director of JSC "NC
"QazaqGaz" Altai Dzhakubaliyev. He noted that in 2024, the company
held a competition for the best enterprise based on HSE indicators,
and the winners were:
Best Subsidiary — JSC "Intergas Central Asia"; Best Production
Branch — UTG "Shymkent" LLP "Asian Gas Pipeline"; Best Branch
Division — Gas Network Repair Service of the Kyzylorda Branch of
JSC "QazaqGaz Aimaq."
In 2025, the company plans to implement new initiatives in
occupational safety, including the monthly ranking of production
branch managers based on their effectiveness in safety work. The
improvement of workwear models considering employee needs and
global trends in labor protection will also continue.
QazaqGaz continues to adhere to the principle that the life and
health of employees are the company’s primary value. Ensuring safe
working conditions and achieving production goals without accidents
remain key tasks for the future.
