BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 8. Azerbaijan's non-oil sector exports saw an impressive 18 percent increase from January through April 2025, reaching a total of $1.1 billion, compared to the same period in 2024.
Data obtained by Trend from the “export review” published by the Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC) shows that food exports rose by 12.1 percent, totaling $300.1 million during this period.
Meanwhile, chemical industry products saw a 42.5 percent increase, reaching $35 million. Other sectors, such as sugar exports, grew by $1.9 million, or 25.8 percent, while ferrous metals and their products saw an increase of $4.1 million, or 16.7 percent. Exports of fruits and vegetables surged by $26.8 million, reflecting a 14.8 percent rise, and aluminum and its products grew by $6.1 million, or 9.8%. Additionally, cotton yarn exports rose by $360,900, or 5.3 percent.
Agricultural exports rose by 14 percent, totaling $232.7 million, while agro-industrial products saw a 7.9 percent increase, reaching $90.8 million. In total, the combined export of agricultural and agro-industrial products grew by 12.2 percent, amounting to $323.57 million.
