BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 13. Since their inception until May 1, 2025, the total oil production (including condensate) and gas output from the "Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli" (ACG) and "Shah Deniz" fields reached nearly 656.8 million tons of oil and 480 billion cubic meters of gas.
Data obtained by Trend from the Ministry of Energy indicates that the breakdown includes 606.9 million tons of oil and 234.2 billion cubic meters of gas produced from the ACG field, and nearly 49.9 million tons of condensate and 245.8 billion cubic meters of gas from Shah Deniz.
Since the commencement of operations, about 654.9 million tons of oil and 176.5 billion cubic meters of gas have been exported by May 1, 2025.
The Shah Deniz (SD) field was discovered in 1999. It is one of the world's largest gas-condensate fields. It is located on the deep water shelf of the Caspian Sea, 70 km southeast of Baku, in water depths ranging from 50 to 500 m.
Azeri–Chirag–Gunashli (ACG, Azerbaijani: Azəri-Çıraq-Günəşli) or Azeri–Chirag–Deepwater Gunashli is a complex of oil fields in the Caspian Sea, about 120 kilometres (75 mi) off the coast of Azerbaijan. It consists of the Azeri and Chirag oil fields and the deepwater portion of the Gunashli oil field.
