Azerbaijan, Baku, 18 September / Trend corr. S.Babayeva / Some 137 owners of enterprises were fined, the functioning of 42 shops were suspended and 50 people were dismissed due to non-observance of sanitary rules as a result of monitoring by the Sanitary and Epidemiology Department in Azerbaijan in August.
The Health Ministry reported that the laboratory examinations were held on 1,348 organoleptic and physical-chemical samples, 574 - on microbiological, 502 - on toxicological and 28 - on radiological food products samples. Shortages revealed on 123 organoleptic and physical-chemical samples, 7 - on toxicological and 4 - on microbiological.
Some 67 facts of microbiological pollution revealed in 3,990 samples from restaurants and event houses.
In August, some 287 people suffered as a result of 118 food poisoning facts.
