The number of individuals who applied for a job fell in the first quarter of 2009 compared to the same period of 2008, Azerbaijani Labor Ministry Employment Service Anar Badalbayli said.
"I do not think it is not connected with the global financial crisis, but seasonal period," Badalbayli said. The trend of fall is mainly observed in the regions.
