The third international forum on insurance "TIIF-2010" completed in Tashkent. Over 200 representatives of the insurance business from 16 world countries attended it.
Forum is organized by Information and rating agency "SAIPRO". General Partner was Uzbek "Kapital Sug'urta" insurance company.
The event is to strengthen ties between representatives of the international insurance community, become an effective platform for interactive communication representatives of foreign and national insurance communities, ensure the exchange of experience in maximizing the potential of international markets.
Within two days the forum participants discussed the status and priority areas of insurance and reinsurance business in the national and international markets, the impact of global financial crisis on the market of insurance, familiarized with the potential and investment opportunities in the insurance sector.
Foreign experts and top managers of the insurance industry noted the positive dynamics of development of the Uzbek insurance market and have expressed interest in establishing mutually beneficial cooperation with local partners.
According to foreign experts, this forum once again confirmed its status as an effective platform for interactive communication between representatives of foreign and national insurance communities, strengthened links between representatives of the international insurance community, exchange of experience in maximizing the potential of international markets.
A traditional ceremony of awarding laureates with Golden Umbrella - Public Award was held in the end of the forum.
The Uzbek insurance companies "Agro Invest Sugurta" and "Alscom" became winners in two main categories of competition "Leader of the dynamics of the insurance business" and "Best innovative insurance product". The Japanese company FALIA was awarded in the nomination "For the development of international relations of the Uzbek insurance market".
The insurance market of Uzbekistan is currently represented by 29 companies of general insurance, the two companies in the field of life insurance, a reinsurance company, three insurance brokers, one actuarial organization and five companies that provide services to insurance assistance.
Uzbek insurers in 2009 increased the collection of premiums by 62.2 percent - up to 142.7 billion soums, total premiums increased by 28.4 percent compared to 2008 - to 14,4 billion sums.
