The goods of Semnan Province (northern Iran) were mainly exported to Afghanistan, Iraq, the UAE, Turkey, Pakistan, China, Great Britain, India, Croatia, Serbia, Azerbaijan, Italy and others over the past year (from February 1, 2020 to February 1, 2021), Chairman for Industry, Mine and Trade Organization of Semnan Province, Ali Teshnedel said, Trend reports citing the organization.
The chairman noted that 254,000 tons of goods worth 294 million were exported from the province during the reporting period.
Teshnedel added that the exported goods were mainly cables, sodium carbonate, light hydrocarbon, silicon, water conditioners, detergents, steel and iron.
“During this period, 16,000 tons of goods worth $61 million were imported to Iran's Semnan Province. The imported goods were mainly equipment and spare parts, electrical equipment, cotton, spare parts for transformers, propylene, etc.,” he said.
As reported, a 10-day event dedicated to the 42-nd anniversary of the Islamic Revolution is held in Iran since January 31, 2021. In order to increase production in Iran's Semnan Province, 559 facilities worth 22.8 trillion rials (about $544 million) will be put into operation or the foundation will be laid within 10 days.
