Fars Province is improving its' wood factories to increase production and create jobs, said Fars Governor Mohammad Hadi Imani, Trend reports citing IRNA.
"The province factories will supply products to domestic demands and possibly export them to boost the economy," he said during the inauguration of a new home and office furniture factory.
"Production factories need raw material to become self-sufficient in production and avoid the import of products that have similar domestic models in Iran. Forestry can promote the wood industry," he said.
The newly built factory in Maloosjan Industrial Zone operated with 520 billion rials (about $12 million ) investment as part of the government's policy to improve production and employment.
