Distribution of plastic cards among pensioners will be launched in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic (NAR) by the end of July 2005. The State Fund for Social Security told Trend the first party of 150 cards has been ordered and will enter the NAR by late this July.
According to the State Fund for Social Security, there are 51,108 pensioners in the NAR, including 28,450 pensioners for oldness, 12,068 вЂ" for disability, 3,765 вЂ" loss of bread-winner, 762 вЂ" for long service. 6063 people receive social pensions in the region, including 770 вЂ" for age, 4,658 вЂ" for disability, 635 вЂ" for loss of bread-winner.
The project of automation of pension payments is implemented by the International Bank of Azerbaijan (IBA) and Kapital Bank. Thus, 130,500 people will receive pensions though plastic cards in the regions and 111,000 people вЂ" through РљР°pital Bank.
