On April30, Marine Oil Company KazMunayTeniz JSC (a subsidiary of KazMunayGas JSC NC) and Kellogg Brown & Root Limited (United Kingdom) made a joint statement on cooperation in training of Kazakh personnel for offshore oil projects, the press-service of JSC NC KazMunayGas reported.
"The relevant agreement was signed in March 2008. Under the agreement, four engineers of KMT were sent to a two-year program in Lezerhed (United Kingdom). Education and training in the office and production facilities is carried out by the host country" the press release said.
The press release said in this period, each trainee will be engaged in KBR's specific project implemented for Kazakhstan.
"Development Program of Kazakh personnel for offshore oil operations, was adopted by KazMunaiGaz JSC NC in 2006. Under the program, KMT selects the best graduates and young specialists for the education and training in the leading foreign oil projects and companies such as Shell, ExxonMobil , BUE, ConocoPhillips, etc. Thus, 37 specialists were sent to training from November 2006 to December 2008," the press release said.
The report also said that the KMT plans to continue its cooperation with major international companies to train Kazakh specialists, including oil and gas fields such as designing oil and gas facilities, design and construction of pipelines, oil drilling.
KazMunayTeniz Joint-stock company was founded on March 14 2003 and is a 100-percent subsidiary of KazMunayGas JSC NC.
