Some 2.46 billion AZN was invested in the Azerbaijani oil sector, in January-May, 2014 which is 33.1 percent more than the same period last year, according to the State Statistics Committee report on the results of the first five months of the year.
More than 4.82 billion AZN has been invested in oil sector in 2013, which is 24.2 percent more than in 2012.
According to the State Statistics Committee, in January-May, the total volume of capital investments in the industrial sector in Azerbaijan amounted to 2.98 billion AZN, which is 8.1 percent more than the same period in 2013.
Some 2.45 billion AZN out of these funds has been invested in the mining industry during the reported period , which is 31.9 percent more than in January-May 2013.
The total volume of capital investments made in the Azerbaijani industrial sector amounted to 7.08 billion AZN in 2013, which is 16.4 percent more than in 2012. About 4.7 billion AZN out of these funds has been accounted for the mining industry, which is 20.6 percent more than in 2012.
Investments in made in production, distribution and supply of electricity, gas and heat amounted to 122.3 million AZN in January-May, 2014 which is 9.9 percent more than the same period in 2013.
Investments made in generation, distribution and supply of electricity, gas and heat amounted to 390.5 million AZN in 2013 , which is 31.5 percent less than in 2012.
Official exchange rate on June 14 is 0.7843 AZN / USD.
