Trend:

The US sanctions have not reduced Iran's oil production capacity, said Director of Integrated Planning at National Iranian Oil Company Karim Zobeidi, Trend reports citing IRNA.

"Currently there is no problem with injecting gas into oilfields," he said, adding that currently there aren't any issues with increase of gas consumption in the household sector.

"Although, if the gas consumption continues to rise in the domestic sector, we would be forced to limit gas injection, since supplying households is the priority," he said.

Gas consumption in commercial and household sector of Iran has led to limitation in transferring gas to plants and other industries.

While injecting gas into oilfields continues as planned, the household sector has been advised to reduce its consumption and save energy to prevent any possible drawbacks with supplies.

In November of 2018, Donald Trump re-imposed all the sanctions on Iran's oil sale, banking and other industries that were previously lifted by the Obama administration.
