Kazakhstan boosts petroleum oils export to EU countries

Kazakhstan has exported 3.1 million tons of crude petroleum oil and oil obtained from bituminous minerals worth 847.03 million euros to the European Union in November 2020, a Eurostat official told Trend.

In turn, Kazakhstan exported 35.05 million tons of petroleum oil and oil obtained from bituminous minerals worth 10.4 billion euros to the European Union from Jan. through Nov. 2020.

Thus, the November volume of crude oil and oil obtained from bituminous minerals from Kazakhstan to the European Union is 0.3 percent more than in volume compared to October 2020 (3.09 million tons) and is 18.05 percent less than in Jan. 2020 (3.7 million tons).

November export value is also 1.1 percent less than in October 2020 (856.7 million euros) and is 52.02 percent less than in Jan. 2020 (1.7 billion euros).

The value of trade turnover between Kazakhstan and EU countries amounted to $22.3 billion over the first 11 months of 2020, compared to $28.9 billion during the same period of 2019.

Kazakhstan’s export to EU countries amounted to $16.8 billion over the period from January through Nov. 2020, compared to $22.8 billion during the same period of 2019.

In turn, Kazakhstan’s imports from EU countries amounted to nearly $5.5 billion over the reporting period, compared to $6.06 billion during the same period of 2019.
