Azerbaijan’s state oil company SOCAR has increased oil and gas exports by 1 percent and 40 percent in 2021, respectively, as compared to 2020, Trend reports with reference to SOCAR.
The company exported 18.1 million tons of oil and 18.8 billion cubic meters of gas last year.
SOCAR has produced 7.9 million tons of oil in 2021, or 6.5 percent more than in 2020. The company drilled nearly 62 meters in 2021, which is 10.3 percent more than in 2020.
The total volume of crude oil production in Azerbaijan stood at 34.6 million tons in 2021, as compared to 34.5 million tons.
Azerbaijan’s gas production rose by 18.1 percent in 2021 as compared to 2020 and stood at 43.9 billion cubic meters. SOCAR’s gas production rose by 7 percent year-on-year, standing at 7.9 billion cubic meters.
