BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 18. Azerbaijan produced 41.5 bcm of natural gas in the period from January through October of this year, Trend reports, referring to the Azerbaijani Energy Ministry.
According to the data, 10.9 bcm of gas was produced from the Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli field, 22.9 bcm - from Shah Deniz, and 1.3 bcm - from Absheron. Moreover, 6.4 bcm was produced by SOCAR. Gas production increased by 1.4 bcm compared to the same period last year.
Gas sales abroad in the reporting period amounted to 20.7 bcm, which is 4.6 percent more than in the same period last year. As much as 10.6 bcm of gas was transported to Europe, 8.2 bcm to Türkiye, and 1.9 bcm to Georgia. During this time, 4.7 bcm of gas was delivered to Türkiye via TANAP.
About 646.6 million tons of oil (together with gas condensate) and 459.2 bcm of gas were produced from the Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli and Shah Deniz fields since their commissioning until November 1, 2024. 598.7 million tons of oil and 227.3 bcm of gas have been produced from Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli, and about 47.9 million tons of condensate and 231.9 bcm of gas have been produced from Shah Deniz.
To note, 644.7 million tons of oil and 165.8 bcm of gas were exported from these fields until November 1, 2024.
