BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 13. As many as 1.5 million taxpayers are registered in Azerbaijan as of the first of December this year, of which 87.1 percent are individuals and 12.9 percent are legal entities and organizations, Trend reports.
According to the State Tax Service under the Ministry of Economy of Azerbaijan, the total number of taxpayers increased by 5.5 percent, including individuals - by 5.3 percent, and legal entities - by 7.2 percent compared to the same period last year.
A total of 188,877 commercial enterprises were registered in Azerbaijan as of the first of December (growth of 7.9 percent).
However, as of the first of December, 90.5 percent of commercial legal entities registered by the state are limited liability companies, 1.3 percent are joint stock companies, 1.1 percent are cooperatives, etc.
A sum of 12,907 commercial organizations passed state registration in the period from January through November of this year, of which 89.2 percent were enterprises with local investments and 10.8 percent - with foreign investments. The share of electronic registrations for limited liability companies with local investments amounted to 93.6 percent. Of the total number of registered business organizations, 10,713 were registered electronically, including 8,677 using Asan İmza, 1,995 using the “FIN code + mobile number” method, and 41 using the SİMA digital signature.
The number of active VAT payers among registered business organizations reached 39,847 as of the first of December, an increase of 15.3 percent compared to the same period last year. The share of VAT payers in the total number of registered ones was 32.2 percent.
Out of all registered commercial legal entities, 91.4 percent are limited liability companies (LLCs), 1.2 percent are joint stock companies, and 1.1 percent are cooperatives and other forms.
