The Azerbaijani Communication and IT Ministry will attend the meeting of Organization of the Islamic Conference Standing Committee on Scientific and Technological Cooperation (COMSTECH), the Ministry told Trend
The meeting will be held in Saudi Arabia in February.
According to the Ministry, Azerbaijani Communication and IT Minister Ali Abbasov will head the delegation
The event will bring together science and technology ministers of the OIC
Azerbaijan will participate in the bilateral meetings, to discuss the development of new technologies in the OIC member- states
COMSTECH is one of the authoritative international organizations in the scientific and technological cooperation field joining 37 countries and 15 international institutions
At present, the organization established several Inter-Islamic networks of research centers including biotechnology, renewable energy, study of outer space, water resources and information technology. The basic factors of their development are the latest communication technologies ensuring effective interaction of scientists from different countries
