BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, December 13. The value of industrial production in Kyrgyzstan’s Issyk-Kul region ranked second highest across the countyr from January through October 2023, Trend reports.
Data from the National Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan reveals that the industrial production value in the Issyk-Kul region amounted to 61.409 billion soms ($687.5 million) during the ten months, signifying a 25.6 percent decrease compared to 81.535 billion soms ($912 million) the same period in 2022.
In October 2023, industrial production in the Issyk-Kul region stood at 7.833 billion soms ($87 million), marking a 31.8 percent decrease from 11.362 billion soms ($127 million) recorded in October 2022.
Across the country, the highest value of industrial production was recorded in the Chuy region - 173.358 billion soms ($1.9 billion), which is a 30.3-percent increase over the same period in 2022.
Overall, the total value of industrial production in Kyrgyzstan amounted to 377.5 billion soms ($4.2 billion) from January through October 2023, showing a 1.2 percent increase compared to the same period in 2022.
