Kyrgyzstan's main export figures for 5M2024 disclosed

BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, July 28. The main types of exports that increased in Kyrgyzstan during the first five months of 2024, compared to the same period last year, have been named, Trend reports.

According to the State Statistical Committee of the country, exports of parts and accessories for cars and tractors increased by 1.7 times year-on-year. Exports of paper, cardboard, and paper products grew by 1.6 times, ferrous metals by 20.8 percent, and aluminum waste and scrap by 6.7 percent.

At the same time, there was a decrease in the export of frozen fish by 2.4 times, and ores and concentrates of precious metals by 1.6 times.

Additionally, cement exports fell by 42.1 percent, bread and bakery products by 31.4 percent, and processed stone for monuments and construction by 26.9 percent.

Exports of clothing decreased by 24.8 percent, cotton fiber by 23.2 percent, dried legumes by 20.6 percent, plastics and products made from them by 18.1 percent, and fruits and nuts by 6.8 percent.

Kyrgyzstan foreign trade turnover reached $6.488 billion in the first five months of 2024, which is an 18.6 percent increase compared to January–May 2023.

Exports totaled $1.046 billion, a 4.8 percent rise from January–May 2023. Imports increased by 21.7 percent year-on-year, reaching $5.442 billion.
