ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, September 6. The trade volume between Türkiye and Turkmenistan from January through July 2023 reached $1.58 billion, Trend reports.
According to the Turkish Statistical Institute, these figures in the reporting period are 32.9 percent more than in the first seven months of last year ($1.06 billion).
Turkmenistan's exports to Türkiye totaled $1.01 billion between January and July this year, marking a 2.1-fold increase compared to the same period in 2022 when it was $474.21 million.
Turkmenistan reduced its imports from Türkiye by 3.8 percent during the initial five months of this year in contrast to the corresponding period in 2022 (which amounted to $595.55 million), reaching a total of $572.79 million.
Meanwhile, the trade volume between Türkiye and Turkmenistan in 2022 reached $2.06 billion, reflecting a 21.8 percent increase compared to 2021 when it was $1.69 billion.
