Iran's non-oil exports to Uzbekistan sweep upward

BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 9. Iran's non-oil exports to Uzbekistan increased by 11 percent in value and 12 percent in weight for 3 months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through June 2024) compared to the same month of last year (from March 21 through April 2023), the statistics of Iran's Customs Administration said, Trend reports.

In just three months, Iran sent Uzbekistan 135,000 tons of goods other than oil, with a total value of over $89.1 million.

The figures show that during the first three months of last year, Iran sent 121,000 tons (or over $80.4 million) of non-oil goods to Uzbekistan.

Furthermore, the information notes that Iran mainly exported milk and dairy products, petrochemical products, various types of pipes, glass containers, agricultural machinery, and so on to Uzbekistan.

Meanwhile, during the last Iranian year (from March 21, 2023, through March 19, 2024), Iran's exports of non-oil products to Uzbekistan amounted to about 506,000 tons worth about $335 million. Compared to the previous year (from March 21, 2022, through March 20, 2023), Iran's exports of non-oil products to Uzbekistan increased by 15.5 percent in value and 23.3 percent in weight.

To note, Iran's Customs Administration reported that during the first three months of the current Iranian year, the country exported non-oil products totaling 38 million tons, with a value of $13.5 billion. Non-oil exports from Iran fell 7.6 percent in value and 5.6 percent in weight when compared to the corresponding month last year.
