BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 8. Iran's Maskan Bank has provided loans worth 35.7 trillion rials (about $81 million) for the construction of houses in rural areas during the six months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through September 21, 2024).

The data obtained by Trend from Iran's Maskan Bank shows that the bank issued loans for the construction of 16,310 houses in villages based on 15,367 contracts during the six months.

Meanwhile, Iran's Maskan Bank announced that it has started issuing loans for the construction of houses in villages since February 20, 2024. Maskan Bank has provided loans for the construction of 2,566 houses worth 3.5 trillion rials (about $7.93 million) from February 20 through March 19, 2024.

Thus, Maskan Bank provided construction loans for 18,876 houses in villages worth 39.9 trillion rials (about $90.5 million) from February 20 through September 21, 2024.

In addition, in Iran, 2 years ago (from March 21, 2022, through March 20, 2023), no more than 1 billion rials (about $2,260) was allocated to build 1 house in villages; last year (from March 21, 2023, through March 19, 2024), no more than 2 billion rials (about $4,530) was allocated to build 1 house; and in the current year (from March 20, 2024, through March 20, 2025), the maximum loan amount stands at 3.5 billion rials (about $7,930).
