BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 5. The exports of non-oil products to Iraq through Parviz Khan Customs of Kermanshah Province, located in western Iran, increased by 22 percent in value and 5 percent in weight during seven months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through October 21, 2024) compared to the same period of last year (from March 21 through October 22, 2023), the Director General of Parviz Khan Customs Office Reza Ghorbani told local media, Trend reports.
According to him, 1.59 million tons of non-oil products worth $686 million were exported to Iraq through Iran's Parviz Khan customs during the seven months.
Ghorbani added that mainly fruits and vegetables, milk and dairy products, flour products, rubber materials, construction materials, and other goods were exported.
The official noted that 3.32 million tons of products were transported across Parviz Khan customs during seven months. Transit increased by 79 percent compared to the same period last year.
To note, Iran's imports of non-oil products amounted to 88.7 million tons worth $32.5 billion during the seven months of the current Iranian year. Compared to the same period last year, exports of non-oil products increased by 15 percent in value and 11.4 percent in weight.
