BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 21. Iran's product imports from Kyrgyzstan decreased by 52 percent in value and eight percent in weight during seven months of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through October 21, 2024) compared to the same period last year (from March 21 through October 22, 2023).
The data obtained by Trend from the country's Customs Administration shows that Iran obtained about 1,470 tons worth about $1.92 million in products from Kyrgyzstan during seven months.
Moreover, the statistics add that Iran imported 1,600 tons of products worth about $4 million from Kyrgyzstan during the same period last year.
The information notes that Iran imported mainly agricultural products and phosphoric acid from Kyrgyzstan.
Meanwhile, Iran's imports of non-oil products for seven months amounted to 21.7 million tons worth $40.5 billion.
To note, Iran mainly focuses on the importation of products needed by the country and imposes certain restrictions on the importation of products manufactured in the country.
