BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 27. Iran's non-oil exports to Tajikistan in the first month of the current Iranian year (March 21 - April 20, 2025) grew by 29.5 percent in value and 19.5 percent in weight compared to the same period last year (March 20 - April 19, 2024).
Data obtained by Trend from Iran's Customs Administration indicates that the country exported non-oil goods worth $17.2 million and weighing 26,300 tons to Tajikistan.
Furthermore, the aggregate value of exports reached
approximately $13.3 million, encompassing a volume of 22,000 tons
in the corresponding month of the previous fiscal year. The
exported commodities predominantly encompassed petrochemical
derivatives, metallurgical outputs, agrarian yields, and consumable
provisions.
The aggregate trade throughput between the two nations escalated to
$21.6 million, encompassing 28,300 metric tons of commodities,
signifying a surge of 32.1 percent in monetary value and 21.5
percent in volumetric output relative to the preceding fiscal
year.
The data from the Iranian Customs Administration reveals that
Iran's export volume reached 8.95 million tons of non-oil
commodities, translating to a monetary value of $2.94 billion
within the specified timeframe. This indicates a year-over-year
contraction of 8 percent in monetary terms and a decline of 8.3
percent in quantitative metrics.
