BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 3. Iran exported goods valued at $380 million to Iraq through the customs checkpoints of Khuzestan Province in the southwest of the country in the first two months of the current Iranian year (from March 21 through May 21, 2025), Behrouz Garabeygi, head of the province's customs, told reporters, Trend reports.
He observed that in comparison to the corresponding timeframe
last Iranian year (from March 20 through May 20, 2024), the exports
via these customs points saw a rise of 3 percent in value yet
experienced a drop of 7 percent in volume.
Garabeygi noted that the primary treasures of export consisted of
natural gas, propane, polyethylene, pentane, steel billets, rebar,
raffinate, and various other valuable commodities.
The data from the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) shows that Iran’s total non-oil exports in the same period amounted to around $8.24 billion, equaling roughly 24.6 million tons. Compared to the previous year, this marked a slight drop of 0.11 percent in value but a 4.4 percent rise in volume.
