BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 8. Iran's non-oil trade turnover with Kazakhstan increased by 39 percent in value and decreased by eight percent in weight during the first quarter of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through June 20, 2024) compared to the same period of last year (from March 21 through June 21, 2023), Trend reports via the statistics of Iran's Customs Administration.
The statistics show that this figure amounted to 165,000 tons worth $84 million in this quarter.
The statistics added that Iran and Kazakhstan exchanged mainly agricultural and food products, tobacco products, petrochemical products, wheat, barley, various types of machinery, and so on in the first three months of this year.
Iran's non-oil trade with Kazakhstan in the last Iranian year (from March 21, 2023, through March 19, 2024) amounted to about 597,000 tons worth about $278 million. The non-oil trade turnover of Iran with Kazakhstan decreased by 13.2 percent in value and 20.6 percent in weight terms in the last Iranian year compared to the previous year (from March 21, 2022, through March 20, 2024).
To note, Iran's trade turnover, including crude oil and petroleum products, amounted to nearly $40 billion, non-oil trade turnover - $27.8 billion, while export of crude oil and petroleum products - $12 billion in the first quarter of this Iranian year.
